So far, several friends and I have all encountered an odd MyRolePlay bug with the newest version.

1. We have a character on Server A, Alliance-side, with an MRP profile/description/etc.
2. We transfer this character to Server B, Alliance-side (either leaving the name as-is or changing it).  This replaces the MRP profile with a new, blank one on the new server (and with the new name, if name-changed).
3. We faction-swap that character to Server B, Horde-side, and change its name.  We then edit the character's (blank) MRP profile and give that character a description/flags/etc.
4. We log out, then log back in.
5. The MRP profile has blanked itself.  It may or may not show the name the character had on Server B, Alliance-side.

This will only fix itself if WoW is restarted between steps 3 and 5 (but still requires re-entering the entire description again).  We tried using Save Profile, and it did not save.

Probably a client bug, I'd guess.

Faction-change is a very new feature that has received no external playtesting. They probably wouldn't have tested if addon data correctly made the jump. At a guess, you should be exitting WoW when logging out to do a faction-change, and after actually doing the faction-change; and you probably ought to clear the cache in between, too.

However, I do not intend to even try to fix this—partially because testing is just not going to happen, but mostly because you're doing a faction change. As this necessitates a complete change of faction, race, appearance and/or name, you're essentially rebooting the character from scratch and completely reinventing it—so the old profile would be completely wrong anyway.

Thanks for letting me know, though.

Understandable, I just wanted to alert you to a potential issue.

And I may not have been clear, but these *are* using a new description, whether the character is changing name or not.  Example character: Varenn, human paladin with the old, unwanted description, ceased to be, and his character was transferred Hordeside.  Logging on to the new blood elf paladin, Azrithel, his description was blank (as expected and desired).  The player gave Azrithel an all-new description and information, then logged out, and when she logged back in, Azrithel's new description and information were gone.
